Laser is the workhorse of modern aesthetics — done well, it permanently reduces hair, fades pigmentation, evens out tone, and softens early signs of sun damage. Done badly, it burns, hyperpigments, or simply doesn’t work.
We chose our laser systems specifically for safety on Canadian skin tones (everything from very fair to deep brown). Every treatment is done by a certified laser technician under our medical director’s oversight. We patch-test new clients on every machine before any full treatment runs.
Realistic expectations: hair removal works best in a series of 6–8 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Pigmentation responds best to a series of 3–4 IPL sessions. One-and-done laser is marketing — we’ll always recommend the package and the spacing the literature actually supports.

Common questions
Is laser hair removal really permanent?
Permanent reduction — yes, on the order of 80–90% reduction after a full series. Truly permanent, full removal is rare; you'll likely need a maintenance session every 12–18 months for the few hairs that come back.
Does it work on darker skin tones?
Yes — our system is safe across all Fitzpatrick skin types I–VI. Your technician will adjust settings for your skin tone and patch-test before any full session.
How many IPL sessions for sun damage?
3–4 sessions, spaced 3–4 weeks apart, gives the best sustained result. You'll see fading after the first session; full results show after the third.
Can I tan before laser?
No. Avoid sun exposure (and self-tan) for at least 2 weeks before any laser session. Tanned skin and laser is the most common cause of hyperpigmentation reactions.
